Tim is a Partner at Shaheen & Gordon in its Concord office.
A native of Laconia, Tim is a litigator and trial attorney with a wide
range of experience in federal and state court as well as arbitration.
Tim has successfully litigated and tried complex commercial, probate,
land use and other civil cases. For instance, in 2017, Tim and Steve Gordon
tried a defamation case to a Merrimack County jury, which returned a $274,500,000
damages award for their clients. Tim also has experience in cases involving
potential criminal issues, and he frequently works with Shaheen &
Gordon’s Criminal Defense Team to resolve them. Prior to returning
to his roots in New Hampshire, Tim was an attorney in the Boston offices
of Holland & Knight and Dewey & LeBoeuf. Owing in large part to
the relationships he formed during that time, Tim frequently advises clients
and out-of-state attorneys on local issues.
Tim earned his B.A. in Russian language from The College of the Holy Cross
in 2000, and he graduated from Boston College Law School in 2009. In between,
Tim served for 6 years in the United States Marine Corps and later worked
in Sarajevo as a prosecution intern at the Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina
in its war crimes section.
Tim is active in his community and serves as a board member for the Concord
Coalition to End Homelessness. He is also a board member and former president
of Veterans Legal Services, which is a charitable organization that provides
free legal services to homeless and low-income veterans. In 2013, the
Greater Boston Chamber of Commerce recognized Tim as one of its Ten Outstanding
Young Leaders and Massachusetts Lawyers Weekly recognized him for Excellence
in Pro Bono. In recent years, Tim has been recognized by Super Lawyers
as a Rising Star. And if you ask him, he will proudly tell you that in
1995, he was the captain of Laconia High School’s championship Granite
State Challenge Team.
