The country’s first protected #DREAMer has been deported, according
to a story in USA Today. Juan Montes was twice granted deportation protections
under the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) program created
by President Barack Obama and left intact by President Trump. Federal
agents sent the young man back to his native Mexico. Questions still surround
the exact details of this case, but it has raised concerns across the
country as the DACA protections are still in place.
