In New Hampshire, the starting point for any potential personal injury
claim against a municipality is RSA 507-B:2. This statue provides that
there must be “a nexus between the injury and a governmental unit’s
ownership, occupation, maintenance, or operation of a motor vehicle or
premises” or there will be no opportunity for recourse.
