Shaheen & Gordon Launches Thanksgiving Food Drive to Fight Hunger in NH and ME

Posted By Shaheen & Gordon, P.A.

Nothing can run on empty. That is why our firm is supporting local food banks and nonprofit organizations to help bring awareness to hunger issues in New Hampshire and Maine.

Starting today, we are holding a Thanksgiving Food Drive to help provide meals for families and individuals in need for the holiday as part of a nationwide community outreach event — known as the Injury Board Day of Action (#IBDayofAction). If you’d like to join us in fighting hunger, here’s how you can help.

From now until November 17, we will be collecting non-perishable food donations on weekdays between 8 a.m. and 5:30 p.m. at our offices in Concord, Dover, and Manchester, New Hampshire, and Saco and Kennebunk, Maine.

“As a firm, we want to do everything we can to help those in need in New Hampshire and Maine, especially during the holiday season,” says Shaheen & Gordon Managing Partner Michael Noonan. “This food drive allows us to give back to the communities we serve.”

The IB Day of Action is a nationwide, collaborative effort to bring together more than 100 plaintiffs’ lawyer firms from across the U.S. — all working for the same cause at the same time.

Shaheen & Gordon will deliver our donations to the Caring & Sharing Food Drive, which benefits more than 20 nonprofits in the Seacoast region, as well as to the New Hampshire Food Bank, and the Good Shepherd Food Bank in Maine.

The items we are collecting include:

  • Boxed Stuffing Mix
  • Instant Mashed Potatoes
  • Jars of Turkey Gravy or Gravy Mix Packets
  • Canned Yams
  • Cranberry Sauce
  • Canned Veggies (green beans, corn, peas, etc.)
  • Cream Soups
  • Cornbread Mix
  • Canned Pumpkin or Fruit Pie Filling
  • Pie Crust Mix or Cake Mix
  • Staple food are always needed: Peanut butter, jelly, hearty soups, stews, pasta and sauce, beans, cereal, canned tuna and chicken

Our offices are located at 107 Storrs Street in Concord; 140 Washington Street in Dover; 80 Merrimack Street in Manchester; 199 Main Street in Saco; and 124 Fletcher Street #2 in Kennebunk.
