Governmental Affairs

S&G has worked with various providers to monitor, change and affect legislative activity relative to health care. We have been called upon to assist in drafting legislation, provide both written and oral testimony on proposed bills, negotiate with regulators and educate legislators.

Most recently, we were instrumental in assisting in changing the laws surrounding the reimbursement of certified registered nurse anesthetists for pain management services. This change significantly expands the potential availability of pain management services throughout the State.

In the past year, we were actively engaged in assisting legislators to understand the impact on proposed changes in State law relative to patient privacy and security and in developing appropriate proposed legislation for the upcoming legislative session.

Our Clients Come First. Always.
