Roundup® Cancer Lawsuits
Maine & New Hampshire Roundup Lawsuit Attorneys
Glyphosate is one of the most widely used herbicides in the world, but recent findings have found potential links between the chemical and deadly forms of cancer. Because glyphosate is also the active ingredient in the popular Roundup® weed killer, those findings have also led to lawsuits filed by victims diagnosed with cancer due regular use of Roundup and other herbicides containing glyphosate.
If you or someone you love has been diagnosed with cancer – including non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma – after regular use of or exposure to Roundup, you may have the right to seek justice and compensation by pursuing legal action. Our nationally recognized trial attorneys at Shaheen & Gordon, P.A. are actively reviewing cases from victims and families throughout New Hampshire, Maine, and northern New England, and are prepared to leverage our extensive experience in personal injury and product liability law to guide you through the legal journey ahead.

Roundup, Glyphosate Exposure & Cancer
Roundup is manufactured by the global agribusiness Monsanto, which although recently acquired by Bayer, has held an infamous legacy for its dangerous products and claims that it often concealed the risks they posed. As a household name, Roundup has been used by millions of Americans. However, it poses the greatest risks to those who regularly work with the product, including
- Farmers
- Groundskeepers
- Landscapers
- Gardeners
- Agricultural Workers
While glyphosate is classified as a probable carcinogen by the International Agency for Research on Cancer (IARC) and has been linked to various forms of cancer, researchers most closely associate Roundup exposure to non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma. In fact, the disease was the basis of a recent Roundup lawsuit filed by a former school groundskeeper who was diagnosed with terminal non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma after regularly using Roundup on school grounds. As the first Roundup cancer case to be litigated, it set a significant precedent by awarding $289 million in damages to the victim.
At the time of the landmark ruling, there were thousands of pending Roundup lawsuits pending in state and federal courts. Experts expect those numbers to grow.
Your Rights as a Victim
Victims diagnosed with cancer following regular use of Roundup, as well as families who have lost loved ones, may have the right to pursue a Roundup cancer lawsuit against Monsanto. These civil lawsuits are intended to show how Monsanto’s negligence and unsavory practices placed consumers at risk of suffering severe and life-changing harm, and hold the corporation liable for resulting damages, which may include:
- Physical pain and suffering
- Mental anguish and emotional suffering
- Medical expenses associated with treatment
- Lost wages and lost future earnings
- Grief and loss of emotional support
- Lost financial support
- Burial and funeral expenses
While the civil justice system provides the pathways through which victims and families can fight back against powerful corporations, compensation is never guaranteed. That’s especially true when a corporation is intent on protecting is bottom line, defending against claims, and paying victims as little as possible. At Shaheen & Gordon, P.A., we work to level the playing field between our clients and corporate powers that prioritize profits over people, and fight for the financial recoveries they deserve.
