Shaheen & Gordon, P.A. is proud to welcome experienced trial attorney Andrew J. Piela to its legal team. Andrew’s practice focuses on family law, probate, civil litigation, and appellate work.
Andrew has been practicing law for over 27 years. He regularly appears in trial courts in New Hampshire and Massachusetts and handles appeals before the New Hampshire Supreme Court and Massachusetts Court of Appeals.
His recent successes include litigation of a case in both the superior court and supreme court that clarified whether a party to a divorce can change the beneficiaries on their life insurance policies without first obtaining court approval.
Prior to joining Shaheen & Gordon, Andrew served as director at a six-person law firm in Nashua, where he was responsible for all aspects of preparing and trying domestic, land use/boundary line, probate, tax abatement, personal injury, and commercial disputes for trial and appeal in Massachusetts and New Hampshire.

Andrew is a graduate of the Boston College School of Law. He is a current member of the Batchelder Inns of Court, which brings together those in the legal profession throughout New Hampshire.
