As part of our commitment to making a difference in the communities where we live and work, Shaheen & Gordon launched its first annual month of service this year. The event, which wrapped up on November 7, encouraged all firm employees to spend part of a workday volunteering at local organizations that we know are doing good work and could use our support.
In total, nearly 40 employees donated 150 hours of time, energy, and heart to several organizations across the region, including:
- Best Buddies New Hampshire
- Webster House
- United Way of Greater Nashua
- Boys & Girls Club of Central New Hampshire
- Darbster Doggy
- NH Food Bank
- Nashua Soup Kitchen and Shelter
- Children’s Museum of New Hampshire
- Southeast Habitat for Humanity ReStore
- Overcomers Refugee Services
Shaheen & Gordon’s month of service was the brainchild of Partner Lyndsay Robinson, whose deep personal passion for community service is infused into her practice. Robinson participated in three of the firm’s month of service events and noted, “Everyone who got involved was so excited by the chance to go out and make a difference in our communities, and as a bonus, we got to learn about some great organizations. This isn’t something most law firms would do, so I’m proud of Shaheen & Gordon for stepping up and making this happen.”
