Shaheen & Gordon, P.A, is honored to announce the opening of an office in Honolulu, Hawaii. Located downtown at 888 Mililani Street, this is the firm’s tenth location, with its other offices spread across New England.
The expansion to Hawaii comes as one of the firm’s partners – Attorney Anthony Carr — returns to where he started practicing law. Carr was mentored by the late Gary O. Galiher, a nationally respected mesothelioma attorney with a Hawaii-based firm. When Carr joined Shaheen & Gordon in 2017, he maintained his connection to Hawaii. He was recently elected President of the Gary O. Galiher Foundation, a charitable trust established by Galiher to support causes he believed would enhance the lives of the people of Hawaii.
With the office opening in Honolulu, the firm is excited to add Attorney Clarisse Kobashigawa to the team.
Kobashigawa focuses her practice on all civil litigation matters, including plaintiff’s personal injury, commercial and corporate litigation, real property, condominium, and homeowner’s association disputes. With fifteen years in private practice, she brings jury trial experience in Hawaii’s federal and state courts. Kobashigawa has extensive experience with personal injury civil litigation involving 42 U.S.C. §1983 civil rights abuse, catastrophic injury, and wrongful death. Born and raised in Honolulu, Kobashigawa is deeply committed to the local community and perpetuating Okinawan culture through her involvement with the Hawaii United Okinawan Association.
This reflects a core value of the firm Kobashigawa joins. Shaheen & Gordon’s Managing Partner Michael Noonan—who has also expanded his practice to the Hawaii office—states:
“At Shaheen & Gordon, we say ‘it’s different here’ — a tagline our firm upholds by working to make a difference for our people, clients, and communities. We’re honored to bring this effort to serve the people of Hawaii because one thing we know to be the same across all jurisdictions where we work is that everyone deserves justice under the law.”
Shaheen & Gordon’s Honolulu office primarily serves personal injury clients, providing compassionate and personalized support, backed by the resources of a large firm.
