Shaheen & Gordon is excited to announce a partnership with Maine Adaptive to promote the importance of accessible recreation for everyone.
The personal injury attorneys at Shaheen & Gordon help victims who have suffered tragic injuries get the justice they deserve. But equally as important for these individuals who are often faced with a permanent disability is to get back to the things they love. That’s where Maine Adaptive comes in.
Maine Adaptive is the largest year-round adaptive recreation program in the state of Maine for adults and children with disabilities. Their mission is to promote year-round education and training for individuals with disabilities in order to develop skills, enhance independence, and provide enjoyment through active recreation.
On September 16th, Shaheen & Gordon and Maine Adaptive attend and sponsor the Portland Sea Dogs game against the Hartford Yard Goats. We’ll have a table where fans can learn more about both organizations and the work we do. Maine Adaptive staff, volunteers, and participants are invited to attend the game and one participant will have the opportunity to throw out the first pitch.
In addition, every week in August, leading up to the 9/16 game, both organizations will be engaging the community with the Sea Dogs Days of Summer campaign—a series of giveaways, including Sea Dogs game tickets, gift cards, and swag.
Our goal is to raise awareness for Maine Adaptive, their mission, and encourage everyone to think about the impact recreational activities can have on our lives.
