Shaheen & Gordon, P.A. Attorney Featured at Recent Maine State Bar Association Conference

Attorney Elizabeth Scheffee, whose practice focuses on divorce and family law, was tapped to introduce Paulette Brown, president of the American Bar Association, at the Maine State Bar Association’s 2016 Summer Bar Conference, which was recently held in Bar Harbor, ME.

Scheffee, along with Associate Justice Andrew M. Mead, of the Maine Supreme Judicial Court, and Elizabeth F. Stout, Esq., Law Office of Elizabeth Stout, Portland, presented a panel discussion on Limited-Scope Representation. The panel addressed developments in legal services delivery models since a 2001 ruling that allowed lawyers to unbundle legal services; how attorneys can use limited-scope representation to increase revenue; the value this practice model brings to the court; and brainstorm how to attract and serve consumers using limited-scope representation.

Scheffee is a former President of the Maine Bar Association in 2001, served as the President of the Maine Bar Foundation in 2007, and is currently a Maine delegate to the American Bar Association. She brings more than 30 years of experience to provide her clients comprehensive advice and solutions in domestic relations matters. She works out of Shaheen & Gordon’s Saco, Maine, office and can be reached at (207) 747-1232 or online.
