At Shaheen & Gordon, P.A., we understand that the COVID-19 pandemic has forced us all to make adjustments to our day to day lives. For attorneys, switching to online communication services, like Zoom, to conduct mediation to resolve disputes has been challenging. That is why attorney Peter Schroeter of Shaheen & Gordon, P.A. recently presented a CLE workshop with the Maine Association of Mediators designed to educate mediators with limited experience conducting online mediations.
“Conducting Zoom Meditation: A Practical Guide and Ethical Considerations” took place on May 19, 2020, via Zoom. Attorney Schroeter’s presentation covered all of the need-to-know basics of using Zoom for mediation purposes, such as preparing parties for remote participation and the various ethical implications mediators should consider. After the presentation, attendees had the opportunity to ask questions.
Attorney Schroeter also provided participants with this Zoom Mediation Practice Guide.
