About the 2020 Belviq Recall
The FDA first approved the drug in 2012 under the condition that Eisai would evaluate the drug’s potential threat to cardiovascular health. A thorough clinical trial was conducted over a span of 5 years. Twelve thousand patients participated. Sadly, cardiovascular health did not end up being the problem; instead, it was found that Belviq put patients at a heightened risk of developing various cancers.
What Kind of Cancer Does Belviq Cause?
